Simple Flexibility Routine You Can Do at Home
Here’s an easy plan:
-
Hamstring stretch – Sit on the floor, reach for your toes. Hold 30 seconds.
-
Hip flexor stretch – Step one foot forward in a lunge, press your hips gently forward. Hold 30 seconds.
That’s it. One minute total.
Do it before bed, while you’re watching TV, or even when helping your kids with homework.
Bonus Tip for Martial Artists
Don’t just stretch—move!
Dynamic stretches like leg swings or arm circles help your body warm up and prevent injuries before class.
Try adding a few before stepping on the mat.
The Big Picture
Flexibility isn’t just about high kicks—it’s about training smarter, protecting your body, and enjoying martial arts for the long run.
Whether you’re just starting out in kids martial arts or you’ve been practicing adult martial arts for years, a little stretching goes a long way.
Stay consistent, keep it simple, and you’ll feel the difference every time you train.
